Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Now Available at Best Buy

var noskimwords = 'true'; I'm really excited about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7. I had an old Samsung Note 2, and I loved it. It'd been awhile since I'd played with a newer Samsung smart phone so I was really excited to get to check out the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 at Best Buy's Booth at Blog Her. I found a lot of improvements have been made over the years in this device. My favorite improvement is how responsive and natural the new and improved S Pen has become. It makes navigating websites or controlling apps a snap. It's great for artists too! As a web developer and graphic artist, I would totally use this phone and the mobile adobe apps to work easily on the go. Writing texts or notes and reminders also feels very natural now with the improved stylus sensitivity and responsiv...

The Benefits of Playing Pokemon Go Outweigh the Risks

I was not into Pokemon Go when it first launched. It wasn't until my mom began playing that I took interest. For a few reasons, first, when the game first came out, there were numerous game crippling bugs which made it almost impossible to play. It's also a rather difficult game to learn at first, it gives absolutely no guidance, direction, tutorial, etc. This combined with the bugs in early days made the game frustrating and a lot less fun than it is now. Second, I'm not one to enjoy exercise. It's not that I'm "Lazy", but well... exercise is "painful" and "tiring" and "annoying".  When I started playing Pokemon Go, I thought how annoying or stupid it was to have to go outside. This was when I was playing it alone in the first few days of the launch. This began to change when I found s...

Dancing, singing, MIX’ing and purring, this is the NEKOPARA event that comes right home to you, and you’ve got the best seat in the house! No idol can compare to a catgirl! 🐾 Match the rhythm to cheer on the stars of the show! Watch them become the greatest idols of all! " (Source: https://sekaiproject.com/2016/05/31/nekopalive-now-on-steam/ ) This free game will work with HTC Vive and Occulus Rift. I think it can also work without a VR Headset. It features cute adorable cat girls fr...

Latest Iphone Rumor Suggests Next Year’s Iphone 8 Will Be “All Glass”

This rumor first began circulating back in April of 2016, but now it seems to be "confirmed". That is, if you believe Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo , who has a pretty good track record of predicting new features as early as 2 years before they come to reality. If you don't want to believe Ming-Chi Kuo, you might be able to believe this. The rumor was "confirmed" this week by Allen Horng, chairman of Catcher Technologies whom Apple has worked with on previous iphone models. " [...Allen Horng] said Apple will make its 2017 iPhone using a glass casing. Breaking down the radical shift, Horng said using a glass chassis would prove expensive and that Catcher requires “advanced processing technology” to pull it off. He also explained that the chassis would need to be reinforced by a metal fra...

HTC Vive vs Oculus Rift Pros and Cons

I put together a quick little list of my research on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift - I don't have hands on experience yet, because I'm poor, and my blog is not popular enough to score me sweet free demo equipment LOL. -- But I'm very interested in these - especially the Rift. In my opinion, I'd buy the Oculus Rift because 1.) Exclusive Games - though it's early days still, it's estimated the Oculus Rift will have far more exclusives than the HTC Vive - I kinda view these headsets as actual gaming platforms (though they're not because they still require a PC to play) - and we all know the most important thing in "living room gaming" is not the specs under the hood (which in the case of the Vive and Rift are pretty equal) - but instead, the importance has always been on Exclusives. -- It's...

Dedicated and Untethered VR headset to be released by Samsung

Editor's Comments: Today's Guest Post comes from Gamingbabe who wants to share news about Samsung's new stand-alone VR headset. I'm excited to see another VR headset coming to market. Although it's not available in the US yet, it recently released a much improved version of their Samsung Gear VR in South Korea for a price tag equivalent to just $350 which makes it less than half the cost of the HTC Vive or Occulus Rift. It's also much beefier tech wise compared to Samsung's current VR headsets - It will be interesting to see how it fits into the picture and how much attention and market share it will receive if and when it releases in the US. Dedicated and Untethered VR headset to be released by Samsung Virtual reality is gaining significant momentum, as more headsets using the techn

Apple TV’s New Update to Put Huge Emphasis on Gaming

According to this quote from an article on theverge.com
"The new Apple TV is much more powerful than its predecessor, which is a crucial upgrade for the device’s gaming ambitions. It's powered by a 64-bit A8 processor and supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. "It's just 10 millimeters taller," than the previous device, said Apple's Eddy Cue. As for connections, the new Apple TV carries over the same, simplistic power / HDMI / ethernet setup as the old model. It will launch in late October in two configurations: 32GB for $149 or 64GB for $199. With the newly built-in app store, Apple and third-party developers will expand Apple TV's software ecosystem and widen its core functionality to put a much bigger emphasis on gaming."
Source: http://www.theverge.com/2015/9/9/
