Boxychan Monthly Anime Subscription Box - Box Opening - Photos - Review

Boxychan Anime Box – June Unboxing Photos and Review – Monthly Subscription Box for Anime and Manga Fans

I just finished my review for Betoyo Bento here. In this review I mentioned how I just had a birthday a few weeks ago and my best friend gifted me with 2 subscription boxes. Here is the 2nd of those subscriptions – Boxychan Anime Box. I liked this box so well that I subscribed myself after opening this awesome box. I’m also going to update my top ten list of subscription boxes for geeky girls to reflect my love of Boxychan. What makes Boxychan so great in my opinion are two things – 1.) It has stuff you’ll actually use. I don’t know if “every” box is like this, but I’m assuming each box contains one manga and one dvd. – that’s actually stuff I want! stuff I’m already buying. Yes, little figures and posters and candy and other things are good – but this is stuff that’s expensive, manga is usually around $10-$15 a pop, Dvds around $15-20 a pop. Speaking of the word “Pop” that brings me to point 2.) This box is full of officially licensed products! Including the VERY popular “Funko Pops” YES! 🙂 read more

Betoyo – Kawaii Anime Figurines and Collectibles – Monthly Subscription Box – Unboxing Photos and Review

My birthday was last month. I turned 35. Eek, scary to be getting so old LOL. My best friend got me two wonderful subscription boxes for my birthday. The first is Betoyo, a box focusing primarily on anime figurines. I’m a doll or figure collector and also love the excitement of opening blind box figurines. This box is perfect for anime fans looking to add to their figure collections.

The June Betoyo Bento had a lot of adorable things packed inside. The highlights of the box were the “Fate” figure on the motorcycle, a figure from Sword Art Online, and a beautiful wall scroll from the popular “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” anime. read more

Doki Doki June Box Opening Subscription Crate Review

Doki Doki June Box Opening Subscription Crate Review

As you can see from my instagram posts – I got my DokiDoki Crate today. My final verdict is do not subscribe to this crate — It has cute stuff, but the stuff inside was worth MAYBE 10 bucks, and that’s REALLY fricken stretching it lol. — I’d say its worth about 5 bucks. I paid $15 with a coupon. Regularly they charge $30 — which is almost criminal if you ask me. It was FULL of TINY teeny tiny JUNK. I subscribe ALSO to Pusheen Crate which is the same price and full of SUPER high quality, wonderful, LARGE items. — This is like literally full of 25 cent trinkets, no lie.— Some of them are adorable of course — but I feel they are charging too much. This box should be about 10 a month, tops. maybe 15 to count for shipping and handling, max. read more

Top 10 Subscription Boxes for Geek Girls

Top 10 Subscription Boxes for Geek Girls

Subscription boxes are taking over the internet. If you’ve never heard of such a thing, you must be living under a rock. The basic premise is you subscribe by paying a monthly fee and you get a box full of monthly goods delivered to your doorstep (or digitally in the case of a few subscription services out there). You don’t get to choose the items inside, so it’s like Christmas, or a birthday, opening a box and being surprised every month. How exciting! Of course, you run the risk of not liking what’s inside either though so it’s a gamble. They have boxes for everything from beauty products, to cat toys, dog treats, and yes, even anime and gamer and geeky boxes too. read more

Mechanical Rocking Horse for Adults

WTF is a Mechanical Rocking Horse – It’s Awesome That’s What it Is

So my new “life goal” (ok not really) is to lose enough weight to get under 154 lbs which is the maximum weight limit for a toy by a company called UFREE which makes something called Large Mechanical Rocking Horses.

How did I come across this? I just encountered a video clip here: https://www.facebook.com/ponycyclenz/videos/1081942061815988/ of a mother, father, and baby, all riding various sizes/shapes of these Mechanical Rocking Horses, bouncing down the street…. And it is totally adorable… and looks like great exercise too. read more

Edit: Moved pics to a floating Div to make this post easier to read. EDIT again: turned off inline related posts for this post because they were again breaking this post and making it harder to read – sorry!

Today I’m reviewing my Fairyland Celine Minifee in Normal Skin with Default Faceup from Fairyland.

She has the Moe bodyline. I’ve had her now for about 1 year and ordered her during a period of time where Fairyland was experiencing a lot of delays in delivery time due to the popular nature of their sculpts, and high demand for their dolls. read more

Momiiji Dolls

Momijii Dolls – Cute Limited Edition Dolls With Notes Inside

Momiiji Dolls

Kokeshi dolls are traditional Japanese Wooden dolls that are often hand carved and painted. These dolls originated in the 1600s and were sold as souvenirs to traveling tourists who visited the Japanese Hotsprings.

Fastforward 400 years later, and meet the Momijii Doll. These Kokeshi inspired figurines have taken the Kokeshi theme and turned it into a profitable online business by creating dozens of super rare limited edition dolls at affordable prices.

What’s more, these dolls make great gifts, because you can turn them upside down and remove a note, which you can personalize. This makes them great ideas for holidays, weddings, anniversaries, or graduations. Any special occasion, there’s a doll to match that. read more

Geeky Factor:

Sweetie Factor:

Concept: 6/10 Tiny Farm is a game similar in nature to that of Harvest Moon or Farmville. The objective is to take care of live stock, plant and harvest crops, go fishing, and breed the animals in your farm, all while making a profit to buy new farming equipment, better seeds, better livestock, etc. It’s one of those games that’s fun in small doses, and addictive at first, but if you intend to play it heavily, you may become bored by the repetitive nature of these games. They try to lessen that effect somewhat by regularly having special events with limited edition livestock or other prizes that you don’t want to miss out on, which keeps you logging in to keep up with the latest in-game events and items. I also find it a bit more interesting than just a farming simulator as you can also run your own zoo, or go to the beach, or participate in other activities as well. read more
