So, I just watched Netflix’s interactive romcom “Choose Love,” and honestly, I’ve got mixed feelings. First off, the concept is basically an Otome game come to life. You get to make choices for Cami that affect her career and love life. The love interests? Totally dreamy, all of them. There’s her long-time boyfriend Paul, her high school sweetheart Jack, and this rockstar named Rex.
But here’s where it gets a little sketchy for me: the acting. It’s bad. Cami even breaks the fourth wall, and that just makes it worse. However, the cinematography in some scenes is stunning, like the one with the white sheets—absolutely beautiful. And the way the studio lights hit Rex? Magic.
Oh my gosh, Charade Maniacs Otome for Nintendo Switch is like a whirlwind of excitement, romance, and total mystery! 🌟💖
First of all, the art by Teita, who also worked on Norn 9 (another fave of mine!), is absolutely fab! You get to see characters from different angles – front, side, back, and their faces are even animated. Though I have to say, their hands looked kinda weird, and the bodies were a bit too stiff for my liking. Still, I’d rate the art like 4 out of 5 stars – way better than some newer games like Jack Jeanne.
Hey there, all you fabulous Otome gamers out there! 🎮💕 It’s me, your go-to otome enthusiast, back with a fresh review of “Jack Jeanne”!
First off, can we talk about the music and voice acting in this game? Absolute chef’s kiss! 🎵 The voice actors really bring the characters to life, while the music just wraps everything up in an audacious symphony of emotion. I mean, who doesn’t want to live in a world that has its own soundtrack? 🎧
And the characters, oh my stars! They’re as vibrant as a new day sunrise, each with their own sparkling personality that makes you want to get to know them better. Personally, I couldn’t choose between Suzu and Neji, they both stole my gamer girl heart! 💖

I haven’t logged in in awhile but it is sad to hear that future main story content will not be voiced. Voice acting is a big part of Otome and visual novel games.
And even though they say the game or servers are not shutting down it’s evident the game is struggling to remain financially viable and that scares me enough to not want to spend real life money on the game.
I got burnt by other games (Utapri I’m looking at you) and never again. I know when to “leave a dying ship” when the ship is slowly sinking. I’ll keep riding it to the end but at the same time “the writings on the walls”. If they are cutting costs then things are not looking promising here. Such a shame. I loved this game.
I love Aksys Games, probably my favorite Otome Game localization company. In just the past few weeks Aksys has announced the following upcoming releases. Check Out their videos below. Which games are you most looking forward to?
I think for myself, I’m most excited about playing the next chapters of Amnesia. I played the original one years ago, and always wondered why we never got the rest of the games in the Amnesia series localized into English. I’m actually not sure if Aksys is involved in this translation project or not. If they are they aren’t doing much to promote it. I saw the trailer as an ad, and sniffed it out. Perhaps Idea Factory is going to take a stab at directly releasing games in English.

Thanks to the folks at Galdra Studios for allowing me to review their debut visual novel, Arcadia Fallen. As a first release from an indie game publisher, Arcadia Fallen definitely exceeded my expectations in many ways. First of all, the game’s high production values from voice acting, to character portraits, and even a catchy anime opening song and animation, all pull you right into the game. From there, the characters and story and unraveling the mysteries of the game keep you glued to your gaming chair. For those that find routine visual novel gameplay a bit dull, you might like the puzzle aspects in Arcadia Fallen because it has a nice crafting and alchemy feature.
As you may know from my blog, Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side is one of my favorite game series. I’ve played all 4 of them now – although none to 100% completion (meaning all routes). The fine folks in the fan translation community have translated all 3 of the first games and I have had the pleasure of playing each of them. I bought the 4th game as soon as it released and have been using Google Translate on my phone and aiming it at my Nintendo Switch.
I’ve used both a lazy neck holder and a snake like clamp holder with varying degrees of success. Both of which I bought on amazon. You just need to make sure the holder you buy does not cover the back camera of your phone because you need that camera to use the Google translation app.
I have been playing Gnosia in my free time for the past 2 weeks. There might be some vague spoilers here. I will try to be vague as possible, but when reviewing a story driven game, it’s bound to have some spoilers. So be warned.
I am ashamed to say it took me over 160 loops to complete the game – and I didn’t know about the true ending until reading a guide for something else entirely – I got stuck on my last “loop” I couldn’t figure out how to get the last data I needed about Remnan. – If you’re stuck like I was, you have to defend him in the debate, talk to him before going to sleep, be lucky that he won’t die that night, or get picked for cold sleep the next morning, and then talk to him again. –
2021 is more than halfway over. Here’s what I have been playing (new releases) and what I’m looking forward to releasing for Nintendo Switch this year. They’re not in any particular order. The first one is my favorite, the next 20 are in reverse chronological order (newer games or unreleased games first) – After that, who knows lol. There’s of course many more great games that I just couldn’t cover all of them here. Nintendo Switch is truly the best console for gamer girls.
I would best describe “Tell Me Why” as an LGBT+ visual novel puzzle solving adventure game. The gameplay is similar to Tell Tale’s Walking Dead, or D4 Dark Dreams Don’t Die, or Quantic Dreams’ Detroit Become Human, and of course DONTNOD’s other adventure games such as Life is Strange. All of which I love. So It comes as no surprise that I would then also love Tell Me Why.
So let me tell you why (pun intended lol).
Although it is a game about transgendered youth and homosexuality, and I am a straight born this way female, I have always accepted gay rights and had no issues with that being the focus of the game. Most my family has always been against gays but even from a young age I would try to argue that they should be allowed to love who they love.
I just started playing “Starry Love” yesterday after seeing a Facebook ad. It’s a brand new game from someone named Modo Games whom I’ve never heard of.
The gameplay is quite similar to Love Niki, or Mr Love Queen’s Choice or Wanabe Fashionista… all of which I’ve reviewed here and all of which I definitely recommend.
When I started playing Starry Love there was only one review and it was a one star rating. Maybe someone was confused and thought one meant good and 5 meant bad.
There’s not much bad about this game so let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first.
