The Best Anime RPG Games For Girls

PlayStation Portal Releases November 15th for $199.99. And Here’s Why I Won’t Buy One.

The PlayStation Portal is a handheld gaming device that allows you to play your PS5 games on a portable screen. It is essentially a dedicated remote play device, meaning that it streams games from your PS5 console to the Portal’s screen.

The Portal has an 8-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 60fps. It also features the same haptic feedback and adaptive trigger technology as the DualSense controller. This means that you can enjoy all the immersive sensations of your favorite PS5 games, even when you’re not playing on a TV. read more

The 4 Best Mini Games Inside Real Games

Video games have come a long way in the last twenty years, and you can usually tell how modern a game is by what type of content it includes. Mini games have been a part of mainstream video games forever; however, new technology has allowed developers to be more creative with how they include these minigames in the main title. Some open-world games may allow the player character to visit a digital arcade and interact with the games there, for example, or a fantasy RPG may include a few card games in the local tavern. read more

Are there more online gamers now than ever before?

It has been decades since video games first became a source of amusement for both kids and adults. In comparison to the earliest computer games and early gaming alternatives, they have undergone substantial development. With computer games becoming more realistic than ever, the era of pixelated graphics and constrained sound effects are long gone.

Video games also get better as technology advances. As the process of making video games has gotten more difficult, it has also become more expensive to make a game that will work on one of the major systems. Nowadays, games can cost tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars to develop, which was once inconceivable. Due to increased production and marketing costs, game development has moved into the realm of movie production. read more

Why Is Gaming Still Inherently Misogynistic?

While there have been – and continue to be – strides made towards equality between the sexes, there are a number of areas and fields which are still dominated by men. These traditionally male spaces seem to, unfortunately, be rife with misogyny. Gaming is still often seen as a more masculine hobby, with female gamers overlooked and dismissed if they aren’t on the receiving end of sexism and misogynistic abuse. The question is, in a hobby that has a huge demographic of female gamers, why is it still inherent with misogyny? Let’s take a look.  read more

10 Best Woman Esports Players of All Time

For a long time now, men have dominated pro-level esports. This is surprising when you look at real-world player demographics. In the United States, around 41% of gamers are female. Despite this, only a handful of top-level esports athletes are women. Nonetheless, more women than ever before are penetrating the industry. Below, we spotlight 10 of the best female esports players of all time.

10. Alyona “Ailey” Bordukova

This Russian pro is one of the best female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players of all time. Her worldwide rank might leave a lot to be desired, but when it comes to high-stakes play, she can more than deliver. She’s competed in numerous CSGO tournaments and walked away with a first-place finish back in 2018.  read more

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio Review

I recently purchased Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio from Bestbuy. The highest end model here. It’s awesome when it works… but after just a few days my pen died. I tried changing the batteries. I know how to charge it. It sits under the laptop near the track pad. It will not light up. My device settings say the batteries are at 100%. I read about unpairing and repairing the pen, so I tried that. I was able to unpair it, but not able to repair it back to the device. For $3,000 for the laptop and $100 for the pen, I expected more… read more

How To Play Angelique Or Any Other Japanese Otome Game In English

I recently started playing Angelique Luminarise in English. The game was just released in May of 2021 in the Japanese Nintendo Eshop. It is not available in English. Not commercially – and not fan translated either. So how am I playing it in English?

Well it ain’t pretty, and it ain’t perfect but here’s how. Pretty simple really. The main thing you need is a smartphone with the free Google Translate app. I like to download the Japanese language pack for offline viewing too – but you don’t have to. read more

Here’s Why I Ordered A Steam Deck

Kotaku recently penned an article about how they don’t see who would purchase a Steam Deck. I ordered my Steam Deck yesterday, and here’s why Steam Deck is for me. PS: You can preorder your Steam Deck from Valve here. Steam Deck will launch in December 2021.

What is Steam Deck? It’s kinda a Nintendo Switch “Clone” or “Rip Off” for lack of a better word – sorry, but it is – there’s lots of these clones out there – I have one from China for like $50 with some emulators and roms lol. BUT the one thing that makes Steam Deck different from these other Nintendo Switch like devices – Access to millions of games from the Steam Library – thousands of which I already own. The docking station will be sold separately – which is a bummer given how expensive the base units are. read more

Wildermyth RPG Indie Game Review

I just started playing Wildermyth on the PC yesterday. This game is very fun and very challenging. I warn you, don’t get too attached to any of your characters, because it won’t be long before they die. Permadeath is real in this game. You get two chances. First time, your character will be maimed, second time, dead. I’m thinking I have to start all over because my characters just aren’t strong enough for the battle that they’re facing. I’ve tried twice now. Some had already died before that too. read more
