Title: Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines

Genre: RPG

Publisher: Alfa System / Sony

Release Date: March 2015

Where to Buy: $19.99 on Amazon.com

Geeky Factor:

Sweetie Factor:

Overall: 64/80 80% B- “Very Good Game For Girls”

Concept: 10/10 The concept here is very fun, you can check out what I think of the Gameplay and Customization below which are really the highlights of this game. The concept is that you and all of your ancestors and descendants have been cursed by someone so that they will live a very short life and also never be able to reproduce normally – instead they must reproduce with gods and demons. The game is fast paced and your characters do die quickly which forces you to keep breeding with the gods to make new clan members. You can pass down heirloom armor and the armor gets new powers as it is passed down. Combat is turn based and there is also a city building element to the game. Read on to learn more about each of these features. read more

Apple TV’s New Update to Put Huge Emphasis on Gaming

Apple, Apple TV, Game News, Tech News, Technology, Videogame / GeekySweetie

According to this quote from an article on theverge.com

[quote]”The new Apple TV is much more powerful than its predecessor, which is a crucial upgrade for the device’s gaming ambitions. It’s powered by a 64-bit A8 processor and supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. “It’s just 10 millimeters taller,” than the previous device, said Apple’s Eddy Cue. As for connections, the new Apple TV carries over the same, simplistic power / HDMI / ethernet setup as the old model. It will launch in late October in two configurations: 32GB for $149 or 64GB for $199. read more

Her Story – Multiple Personalities Or Twins? My Theory, and Supporting Evidence

1 Comment / Editorial, Opinion, PC, Review, Spoilers, Videogame / GeekySweetie

Her story is an awesome “game” – though it’s not really a game in the traditional sense. You watch some video clips and pick up on key words or phrases in those clips to find more video clips to watch. The premise is that a woman has murdered her husband, and you have to figure out her motive. While “playing” the game, you interview the woman over the course of several days. Each clip is only a few seconds long; and they’re never in chronological order, or make much sense out of context. It’s up to you to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and form your own conclusion. You learn pretty quickly; that there are 2 women being interviewed, Hannah, and Eve. But are Hannah and Eve; really two people? Or are they one person with a Dissociative Identity disorder? read more

Will they Dub SMTXFE # And If So, Will They Keep The Option To Play The Game in Japanese with Subtitles?

Anime, Nintendo, Videogame, WiiU / GeekySweetie

The big question on my mind after seeing this gameplay on the Nintendo Treehouse. (see clip below at end of article), is this, Will we North American fans get to enjoy the game the way it is intended? During the live play through at E3 (which is almost an hour long, and awesome by the way.) They had the creator (and his translator) in the room to describe the hard work that went into making this game. The thing that stood out to me was the difficulty they had in casting perfect voice actors. ALL of the actors do all their own singing in this game. ALL of the dances have been choreographed by real dance professionals, and that choreography is intended to match the Japanese vocals obviously. read more

New LEAKED Trailers for Persona 5! NEW RARE Never Before Seen! New Footage. UPDATE.

Anime, Game News, News, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, RPG / GeekySweetie

UPDATE: another trailer was revealed at Tokyo Game Show, along with news that the game has been delayed until Summer 2016. Read more and watch the newest trailer in my new blog post over here.

My original post with footage released on Jun 30, 2015 is below:

Youtube has been buzzing all week with NEW leaked gameplay footage and new TRAILERS for Atlus’ upcoming rpg, Persona 5. Atlus disapointed fans at this year’s E3 by showing the same trailer they had already released. Now it seems some perhaps intentional leaks are coming in to help promote their cult classic RPG franchise. The game will be available this fall on both PS3 and PS4. i’m a huge Persona fangirl, and this title is a must-own in my opinion. I’m dying to find out what variations, if any, will exist between the PS3 and PS4 versions. Maybe it’s time for me to buy a PS4 for this game although I already have a PS3. read more

Dragon Age (Franchise) Review

Title: Dragon Age (Note this is a broad review for the series as a whole, not necessarily for each individual game)

Where to Purchase: Amazon

Overall: 77/100 77% C+ Good Game For Girls

Geeky:

Sweetie:

Concept: 10/10 Dragon Age is one of my favorite “Western” RPG series. It was one of the first western-developed RPGs to feature a branching plot, where decisions you make impact the storyline in a meaningful way. It also had some dating sim type elements and allowed for gender neutral relationships. You could date anyone of any sex, species, race, etc. read more

Why Iphone 6 Plus is the best Smartphone for Female Gamers

2 Comments / Android Phone, Camera, Cellphone, Dressup Games, Free Game, Ipad & Iphone, Life Sim, Mobile Game, Otome Game, Photography, Raising Sim, RPG, Simulation, SRPG, Strategy, Technology, Videogame, Visual Novel, Windows Phone / GeekySweetie

I’m currently lusting after an Iphone 6 Plus, but by time I fulfill my contract, to get the upgrade discount, I’m pretty sure the Iphone 7 will be out. I’ve never owned an Iphone. I had androids for years, ever since the first motorola droid, with the slide out keyboard. About a year ago now I bought a windows phone. I’m always an early adopter of technology, but windows is very disappointing in two areas. First, the app store, no good games, despite, Microsoft’s recent announcement that windows 10 will allow developers to easily port their games to the platform at just the switch of a button. Secondly, no accessories available for the phone in store, some may be available online, but really, I feel jealous of all the cool accessories and cute beautification elements that go into the Iphone. read more
