First Look: iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Pro with the New Apple Watch

Hold onto your seats, Apple enthusiasts and techies alike, because Apple has just unveiled the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus! This year, Apple promises a ‘huge leap forward,’ and while some features have caught our eye, others may not be as groundbreaking as we’ve hoped.

The Pink Enigma: First off, can we talk about that glorious pink? For those with an affinity for pastel shades, this might just be the iPhone color you’ve been waiting for. However, it’s a bittersweet revelation as the Pro models are still deprived of this delightful hue. For many, the pastel palette of non-pro shades might evoke that ‘easter egg’ feel – vibrant and youthful. But then, we shift our gaze to the Pro models, and the colors seem, well, a bit drab in comparison. read more

Kawaii Silver Iphone 14 Pro Makeover: Sonix Sanrio Cases & Case Mate Accessories Review

Hey fellow kawaii enthusiasts and anime gamers! As a 41-year-old ultra kawaii anime gamer girl, I couldn’t wait to share my thoughts on these adorable Sonix Sanrio MagSafe iPhone 14 Pro cases and some super cute Case Mate MagSafe accessories. I recently got a new silver iPhone 14 Pro, and these cases and accessories are just perfect for it.

Sorry this first video is blurry – I did not realize my old phone was on Cinematic mode so it was out of focus. The second video is better.

Cases:

  1. Hello Kitty and Friends Stickers MagSafe Compatible iPhone Case: This case is my absolute favorite! The clear design showcases the adorable Sanrio character stickers, which brings a unique and playful touch to my iPhone. It’s ultra kawaii and perfect for any Sanrio fan.
  2. Cosmic Hello Kitty MagSafe Compatible iPhone Case: I thought this case would be a clear gradient, but it’s actually white. Nonetheless, the cosmic Hello Kitty design is still super cute and offers great protection for my phone.
  3. Little Twin Stars MagSafe Compatible iPhone Case: Like the Cosmic Hello Kitty case, this one is also white instead of a clear gradient. But the Little Twin Stars design is too adorable to resist. It also offers excellent protection for my iPhone.

Samsung’s Fatal Security Flaws Have Helped Me Decide Which Phone To Upgrade To In 2023.

Hello everyone, my name is Jeni and I am currently the owner of an iPhone 13 Pro. Recently, I have been contemplating switching over to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The reason behind this switch is because I play many games from multiple regions, and I require a phone with at least 1TB of storage. While I have been going back and forth between waiting for the iPhone 15 Ultra in September 2023 or upgrading now to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, I believe I have made up my mind.

Initially, I was captivated by the sleek design and feel of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The phone is lighter and thinner, has a larger screen, and does not have an unsightly notch or dynamic island. The lavender color of the phone is also incredibly appealing to me, and I cannot deny the camera is far better than the iPhone. Furthermore, the SPen feature is very enticing since typing on my iPhone can be a hassle. read more

Fitbit Inspire HR Smartwatch Review

I purchased the lavender Fitbit Inspire HR Smartwatch a few days ago at Best Buy. This is not a sponsored post. I just thought my readers may be interested in learning more about Fitbit Inspire HR Smartwatch too.

I chose the Fitbit Inspire HR Smartwatch for the following reasons:

I mainly just wanted a watch that could count my steps. Yes a phone does that too, but my phone might not always be with me.

When looking at prices of such Smartwatches online, the black version of Fitbit Inspire HR seemed super reasonable, about $65. read more

Three Things I Will Miss About My Pixel 3

I will be switching back to Iphone. My green Iphone 11 is supposed to be delivered by end of the day tomorrow. My reason for switching is to have a more secure device. I fell victim to the camera hack as well as within the past 6 months, 3 different accounts of mine have been hacked – I can’t prove it’s my phone’s fault, but I had the Iphone 6 – up until Pixel 3, and never had been hacked. The reasons for which are varied, for example Iphone is a tightly controlled app marketplace. While it’s not impossible for a rogue app to sneak in, it’s definitely more difficult. Another reason Iphone is more secure is because Android is the most widely used platform, similar to how many computer attackers aim their threats at windows because it dominates the market. They want to attack where the most people are. Lastly, Google’s convenience in password storage and account linking makes it easier for attackers to get all of your information in one place. read more

Google Pixel 3 vs Iphone XR Camera

I just ordered a Google Pixel 3 a few days ago because it was $150 off on google’s store – sale ends today by the way. After ordering the phone, to kill time I was watching videos of the phone… I am mainly excited about the Pixel 3 camera. I am still using an Iphone 6S… I’ve had since it came out… so almost any new phone camera would put mine to shame. The last android phone I have used was Samsung Note 1 so I’ve been “Team Iphone” for a long time. But Pixel 3’s camera just looked so good. How good is it really?

I took a blind test and played along with this video:

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kadb9iHYJ60[/embedyt]

I watched this and paused it and studied each photo and came to the following conclusions which I wrote AS I was watching it – At the end he will tell you which camera belongs to which phone… I won’t spoil it – you can watch it yourself.

Here are my comments…

1 B
2 B
3 A’s color is better but I do like how B’s subject “pops” out of the background
4 – same comments as 3
5 – B
6 – about equal. A looks a little washed out, B looks a little dark
7 – B all the way, although it looks kinda warm colored. A is probably more natural color, but seems blurry and less detailed
8 – B all the way, no contest. A is blurry and pixelated/noisy. B is much more detailed and “cleaner”
9 – B is much more sharp and crisp, but A is probably more flattering for the portrait, But prefer B because it pops
10 – B is much more detailed and crisp. A looks washed out and blurry but sometimes thats nice for portraits
11 – B – but this one is pretty equal
12 – A captures more “area” you can see other houses and cars. And the things in the foreground pop more, but B has more midrange “clarity”
13 – B all the way, A looks super washed out
14 – B all the way, it really pops out. (Since dolls are my main photography subject this would be the camera I’d want the most)
15 – A shows more background detail, but B is nice for Bokeh, and the subject seems more clear in B

My totals:

B = 10
A = 0
Tie = 5

Did I make a good purchase? – Watch this video to find out for yourself.

Iphone 7

Should You Upgrade From Iphone 6S to the New Iphone 7?

Should You Upgrade From Iphone 6S to Iphone 7?

Apple just revealed the new Iphone 7 at http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/

I just recently joined the millions of users addicted to Apple Iphones when Iphone 6S came out. (Though I had wanted one for a long time before that as well due to all of the amazing games on the app store.)

The Iphone 7 improves the Retina HD display by using a larger screen that’s 25% brighter and boasts a wider color range than the Iphone 6S.

The Iphone 7 has a 4.7″ screen with 1334 X 750 resolution while the Iphone 7 Plus has a 5.5″ screen and 1920 X 1080 resolution.

But the biggest most exciting improvement is the camera. The Iphone 7 Plus has 2 cameras – One with a wide-angle and Another with a telephoto lens – each capable of 12MP. They also have all-new-depth-of-field effects which I assume are like Bokeh effects which we see in DSLR photography. This is a technique that’s used to focus on the subject in the foreground and blur the background, creating sometimes circles or dots of light that give it a dreamy, fantasy-looking glow like quality. – which would be great for doll photography by the way, if you collect ABJD such as myself. the zoom on the camera has also been improved with optical zoom at 2x and digital zoom up to 10x for photos and 6x for video.

It’s also the first Iphone to be water resistant, which opens up even newer possibilities for photography enthusiasts or hobbyists who like to travel / snorkel / swim or splash and play while on vacation and documenting their vacay photos with their smartphones.

The other big enhancement is the processor speed. It is 2 times faster than the Iphone 6. They are claiming it is the most powerful processor ever in a smartphone.

This Iphone also has the longest battery life ever in a smart phone. As an Iphone 6S owner, I love the long battery life. I can go 2 or 3 days sometimes without recharging, even when browsing the net, playing apps, or using navigation for 2+ hours a day sometimes. — I can’t immagine the battery life getting even better, but that’s definitely always a good thing!

The sound system has also been redesigned. It now supports stereo sound and is 2 times louder than the Iphone 6S. You can connect Apple EarPods with the lightning connector or use the brand new wireless Airpods.

They’ve also made significant improvements to the speed of LTE connectivity and roaming (although I don’t really understand how because this seems like it should be a carrier specific issue.) – It is 3 Times faster than the Iphone 6 and over 50% faster than the Iphone 6S – and LTE supports up to 25 Bands.

If you’re thinking of upgrading the Iphone 6S to the Iphone 7 – you can get up to $250 immediate credit when you trade in your 6S. Learn more at http://www.apple.com/iphone/trade-up/ Which helps to take a small bite out of the hefty $649 pricetag of the new Iphone 7.

The Iphone 7 releases next Friday on September 16 in over 20 countries around the world.

Are you going to upgrade to the new smartphone? Or hang on to your current model?

As much as I would LOVE the new cameras and faster internet connection, I’m still happy enough with my Iphone 6S — so I will wait this one out! Unless I win one for free or win money or giftcards towards covering some of that cost. I bought my Iphone 6S Out of Contract, and would do the same if I were ever to upgrade to a new model again.

Apple does make it tempting and hard to resist the need to have the latest and greatest smartphone.

But my favorite thing about Apple Iphones is the app store, which all of the Iphones can access 🙂 so whether you upgrade, or stay where you’re at, you really can’t go wrong being an Iphone owner!

Best Buy Mobile Plan Compare Tool
Samsung Blog Her Best Buy 2016

var noskimwords = 'true';

I’m really excited about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7. I had an old Samsung Note 2, and I loved it. It’d been awhile since I’d played with a newer Samsung smart phone so I was really excited to get to check out the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 at Best Buy’s Booth at Blog Her. I found a lot of improvements have been made over the years in this device.

My favorite improvement is how responsive and natural the new and improved S Pen has become. It makes navigating websites or controlling apps a snap. It’s great for artists too! As a web developer and graphic artist, I would totally use this phone and the mobile adobe apps to work easily on the go. Writing texts or notes and reminders also feels very natural now with the improved stylus sensitivity and responsive new feel. The new S Pen is super light weight now too! It’s much more comfy to write with or use for long periods of time.

In fact, the entire phone is MUCH lighter than my old Note 2. As technology in general keeps shrinking and becoming thinner, the new Note 7 weighs just under 6 ounces.

As always, one of the best features of the Samsung Note handhelds is the large screen. And the CURVED Dual-edge, 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen on the new Note 7 makes watching movies and playing games an amazing experience! As a gamer, the new screen truly is amazing. And with Google’s Open Play Store, there are millions of games to play, many for free! Or apps to watch your favorite shows like Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu, or Dramafever.

Of course, that would drain your battery, but fear not, because the new Note 7 also has greatly improved its battery life and also implemented quick charging to keep your device going longer and working harder than ever before.

The Galaxy Note 7 also really improved the camera – especially in low light settings. I love to take pictures when I’m out with friends and family. The new and improved camera makes capturing fun memories easier than ever and makes those memories look brighter, crisper, and clearer than ever before.

Best Buy makes shopping for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and choosing the best wireless plan for your new smartphone, super easy too! You can visit any Best Buy store to use their Mobile Plan and Compare tool. This tool will help you save money on your wireless plan by guiding you through understanding what features are most important to you! This doesn’t always mean just choosing the cheapest plan, but instead, choosing a plan that provides enough data, texts, minutes, long distance calling, visual voicemail, or other options that you regularly use. If you just go for the cheapest plan out there, you might be disappointed when your internet speeds are suddenly throttled, or worse yet,  receive a huge bill from overages when you exceed your data limits.

It also helps you determine which features you don’t need so you don’t pay for what you won’t use. About 50% of people overpay on their cell phone bill.  See how Best Buy can help. Best Buy lets you easily compare plans from a wide variety of different carriers including Verizon, Tmobile, Sprint, and ATT. They also offer numerous prepaid plans and options for those who wish to bring their own device.

The Mobile Plan and Compare tool at Best Buy helps you understand the different tiered data plans offered by carriers such as Verizon and ATT. These allow you to pay a set fee for how much data you or your family expect to use each month and then charge an overage fees for any additional data use. If you don’t want to worry about overages, many of the new smart phones have built in controls to turn off wireless data when you near your limits, or you can explore various prepaid or unlimited data plans if you are a heavy data user.

The Mobile Plan and Compare tool also helps you understand the new installment type plans that most of the big carriers offer. With these plans you pay a small fee every month in addition to your other wireless charges to essentially “lease” the cellphone which then allows you to upgrade sooner than you would in a traditional contract.

Best Buy offers this Mobile Plan and Compare tool in every Best Buy store. They also have resources available via bestbuy.com to help you calculate your estimated data usage.

Best Buy is also offering a special deal on the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which includes a Free Gear Fit2 or 256GB memory card when you purchase and activate the Samsung Galaxy Note7. Plus, you can get $20 in rewards with your first qualifying Samsung Pay purchase.

Disclaimer:  The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.

Ensemble Stars – The Free IOS Game That Lets You Collect Cute Anime Boys

Ensemble Stars | Dating Sim | Stat Raising Sim | Trading Card Game | IOS | Android | Anime | Game
Ensemble Stars | Dating Sim | Stat Raising Sim | Trading Card Game | IOS | Android | Anime | Game

I’ve been enjoying Ensemble Stars, a game that lets you collect cute anime boys. When I first got the game, I assumed it was like Love Live School Idol Festival! However, it’s a little bit different. Most notably, Ensemble Stars is a Stat Raising Simulation. Not only do you collect the cards (just like in Love Live School Idol Festival!) but then you train different stats such as vocals, dancing, etc. Also, this is NOT a rhythm game. I initially thought it was, until playing it. There’s no user input in battles; it’s all mathematically determined. Your cards stats vs the Opponents’ stats.

This game is not available yet in the US app store. And in no app store is it in English; However, you can easily make a free account (must be on a PC (or mac)) by logging out of your main account and then at the bottom of the screen, change location, and select either the Korean or Japanese app stores. Then sync your iphone/ipad with your new purchase (its a free game).

The company also makes a game called Ensemble Girls which is available in the US app store, however, it is not in English. I just started playing Ensemble Girls lastnight and its gameplay is markedly different from Ensemble Stars. Ensemble Girls plays like a board game. You roll dice and move the corresponding number of squares through each level. You encounter girls to battle and collect points. You can use points to summon new girls for your deck and also get sweet tasting food which if you feed to the girls makes them level up. It’s a cute game, but the gameplay in Ensemble Stars is more fun since it’s a stat raising sim, which Ensemble Girls is not.

When you first start playing Ensemble Stars you get to select one “team” to be your “starter deck” which will determine your rare card.

This is the one I chose, because, he is hot as hell LOL.

There’s also a dating sim element to the game too. You can date the guys and by correctly responding to their questions (which are not in English), they will level up. Here are a few more screens showing all of these elements of gameplay. The dating sim, the stat raising sim, and the collectible card game (ccg).

The game is really super fun – even though I can’t understand a word of it. I keep hoping they’ll bring us an English version. It’s in many asian countries already. I think with the rise in popularity in America of otome games and dating sims and JRPGs we would be a good market for this game as well. I have already emailed the company and asked them if they would please release an English or “international” version of their app. The game has only been around since April of 2015. So it is not even a year old yet. That means there’s still a chance they could release it at some point in English.

Geeky:

Sweetie:

Overall: 70 / 90 78% C+ “Good Game for Girls”

Concept: 10/10 finally a game like Love Live School Idol Festival but with all boy cards! Sweet!

Gameplay: 10/10 – The stat raising simulation and dating sim aspects are really fun, and it’s exciting/thrilling to summon the rare cards that you really want to add to your deck.

Graphics: 10/10 – one of the cutest games around. The little chibi sprites are so cute as they dance and practice their moves in the stat raising sim portion of the game. The still artwork on each card is beautiful, and the dating sim element treats us to fully animated 2d sprites. (not chibi though, full drawn like the card artwork. Lovely.) The backgrounds and environments are also beautiful, and the user interface is so simple and easy to use that I can easily navigate the game even without it being in English (I can’t say the same for Ensemble Girls which I’ve been stumbling through for the past day or two.)

Story: 0/10 – Unfortunately until the game is available in English, the story is a 0/10 – It might have a good story for all I know, but I can’t read it.

Characters: 5/10 – Well the characters are definitely easy on the eyes. But once again I can’t read any of their backstories. So shrugs. If I’m going by character art / concept / design it’s 10/10 – but It would be nice to have the “feels” during the dating scenes by understanding wtf the characters are saying. And getting to know their personality by more than just their facial expressions.

Replay Value: 10/10 Like most mobile games, there are numerous events every month with the chance to get rare limited edition cards and items.

Music: 10/10 – I really like the opening theme and some of the background music also

Voice Acting: 7/10 – I love the voice actors in this game as well. I can’t understand wtf they are saying since there’s no English subtitles (and I deducted points for that), but I do hope that should this game be brought over, that they keep the original voice cast in tact.

Overall: 70 / 90 78% C+ “Good Game for Girls”

If it were in English, chances are story and characters would rate higher, but as it is right now today, it’s still totally playable, and quite enjoyable even without understanding the dialogue.

How to Remove Debris Under Screen Protector On Smart Phone

How to Remove Debris Under Screen Protector On Smart Phone

I read an article today on how to remove dust, dirt, hairs, fuzz, lint, etc from underneath your screen protector.

When I tried it though, my screen protector, which I’ve only had for 5 days, cracked.

I want to warn everyone that if you are googling how to remove debris under your screen protector to NOT follow this tutorial if you have a tempered glass screen protector. I have one from ZAGG that luckily will be covered under the warranty.

For those wanting to remove dirt and debris… here’s the “urban legend” online…. ONCE AGAIN DO NOT TRY THIS WITH A GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR. YOU CAN SEE ABOVE WHAT THIS DID TO MY BRAND NEW $45 ZAGG protector.

Materials needed: Scotch Tape

  1. Tear off two pieces of scotch tape

2.) Fold tape over on it’s self leaving enough space to slide your finger through each piece (so that both sides are sticky)

3.) With one piece of tape, take your finger at edge of screen protector and gently lift

4.) Use other tape-covered finger to dab the lint or debris until it is removed

5.) Gently lower the screen protector back down.

6.) (Added by me) DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE A GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR – IT WILL CRACK!!!!!!

I don’t even know HOW the darn cat hair got under my screen protector. It was put on professionally at best buy. And up until this morning no hair. It was definitely UNDER the screen protector though. I small white hair from my short haired female cat. I also have her hairs on my brand new sweater that was stored in another room where my cats don’t have access. ARGH cat hairs… bane of my existence, but cats make life better, so worth it, even if they destroy sweaters and screen protectors LOL.

Luckily ZAGG gives all of their products a life time warranty; but now I must wait 3 – 7 business days with no screen protector, and go back to best buy and pay $5 to have them put it on for me 🙁 (or deal with the headache and cat hairs of putting it on for myself)
