What I’m Listening To This Week 6/23/19

I didn’t share a music post last week because we were moving, and still been super busy. Here’s what I’ve listened to the last two weeks.

1.) HYO – Sober English Version.

This song is so catchy. I find myself singing it all the time now.

2.) Troye Sivan – Fools

I first found this song via BTS’ Jung Kook’s cover but the original is good too. I think I actually prefer Jung Kook’s version more though.

The next 3 songs are by an artist named Amber. I really like her voice and the beat to all of these songs. read more

What Am I Listening To This Week? Still Not Tired Of Love Songs Or Kpop English Covers

It’s that time again. Time to share with you what I’ve been listening to this week. The first song on the list actually isn’t a KPop song. Are you shocked? lol. But I did discover it when I saw a cover of it by an Asian youtuber. So there is that.

Here’s the original non Kpop version

Lauv and Troye Sivan – I’m So Tired of Long Songs

Here’s the cover I found. Not as good as the original, but still pretty decent.

2. BTS – Fake Love

This is one of my favorite BTS songs and there are a lot of great English Covers Out there. But first, here’s the original by our boys BTS read more

What I’m Listening To This Week – Kpop, English Covers, and Other Music

I thought it might be fun to share like a weekly top 10 of songs I’m listening to each week. It can be a new feature on my blog. The music won’t always be new songs, it will be very eclectic.  Here’s what I’m listening to this week. I have been listening to a lot of Kpop, including some awesome amazing English covers from talented amateur youtube performers. Check them out below!

1.) Goblin – OST – Beautiful (Crush)

Ok so Goblin is one of my favorite Kdrama, like in the top 3 for sure. This is the opening song, and there are dozens and dozens of English covers of this song. Someone should make like a US version of this drama, and use one of these covers for the opening song lol. But I know it’d never be as good as the Korean version, but then I could get more of my friends and family to watch this show because it’s so good. Le sigh – lol. I seriously kinda want this song to be like my first dance wedding song. It’s nice and slow, and most of the lyrics until the last verse are appropriate. Even then, the last verse, although it is sad, especially if you’ve ever watched Goblin, even still taking it away completely from the context of Goblin, you could analyze the lyrics to be like either, you need someone when you have a sorrowful day, their love gets you through those days, or well sadly, life is cruel and in the end, you will be parted from those you love, because one of you will pass away first, leaving the other person with only memories, and since it’s the last verse, it could be after a long life together. Thus even though it’s sad, still symbolizes a life full of love and memories together. And the first few verses – depending on whose cover you’re listening to, have lines like “It’s a beautiful life. I’ll be the one to cherish you. Now and forever girl I’ll stand by you.” which definitely could apply to a wedding. And it’s just so beautiful – I tear up every time I hear this song. read more

Rhapsody a Musical Adventure Retro Videogame Review

Rhapsody a Musical Adventure is an anime musical strategy JRPG first appearing on PS1 and Later on the Nintendo DS. This review focuses on the PS1 version.

I’ve Always Liked You – Feature Length Slice of Life Shoujo Anime Movie Review

Just finished watching “I’ve Always Liked You – Confess Your Love Committee” on Crunchyroll and had to immediately type up a review because that’s how much I enjoyed this anime. Everything about it was so relateable and the cute artwork and numerous vocal songs throughout made this just an amazingly memorable movie to watch.

I’ve been going through numerous tough times in my own relationships or lack there of, this year, breaking up with someone, trying to date other people, liking people that will never like me back, feeling awkward, nervous, excited, scared, sad, happy, overwhelmed at times even, or at times, just the reverse, dating people who liked me way more than I felt towards them.. So in that regard, I could relate to every single character and the overall theme of this anime in so many ways. read more

Ensemble Stars – The Free IOS Game That Lets You Collect Cute Anime Boys

Ensemble Stars | Dating Sim | Stat Raising Sim | Trading Card Game | IOS | Android | Anime | Game

I’ve been enjoying Ensemble Stars, a game that lets you collect cute anime boys. When I first got the game, I assumed it was like Love Live School Idol Festival! However, it’s a little bit different. Most notably, Ensemble Stars is a Stat Raising Simulation. Not only do you collect the cards (just like in Love Live School Idol Festival!) but then you train different stats such as vocals, dancing, etc. Also, this is NOT a rhythm game. I initially thought it was, until playing it. There’s no user input in battles; it’s all mathematically determined. Your cards stats vs the Opponents’ stats. read more

Katamari Damacy Review

Title: Katamari Damacy

Genre: Platform / Puzzle

Platform: PS2, Xbox 360

Publisher: Namco

Release Date: September 21, 2004

Language: English

Geeky Factor:

Sweetie Factor:

Overall: 53/70 76% C  “Good Game For Girls”

Story: 2/10 The story in Katamari is really silly and crazy (as is much of the game itself). It follows a prince whose father has accidentally destroyed the universe and you find yourself in the role of said, young prince, ordered by your father, to go “roll up” the planets to put them back into the sky; meanwhile your actions are also impacting a human family back on earth whose father is an astronaut who’s unable to travel to the moon due to the king of the universe destroying the cosmos. The story is often told with still images, or silent clips and movies, and really plays a huge backseat compared to the gameplay. The fact is, story is not this game’s strong suit, but it doesn’t NEED to be, because the gameplay stands alone. read more

Will they Dub SMTXFE # And If So, Will They Keep The Option To Play The Game in Japanese with Subtitles?

The big question on my mind after seeing this gameplay on the Nintendo Treehouse. (see clip below at end of article), is this, Will we North American fans get to enjoy the game the way it is intended? During the live play through at E3 (which is almost an hour long, and awesome by the way.) They had the creator (and his translator) in the room to describe the hard work that went into making this game. The thing that stood out to me was the difficulty they had in casting perfect voice actors. ALL of the actors do all their own singing in this game. ALL of the dances have been choreographed by real dance professionals, and that choreography is intended to match the Japanese vocals obviously. read more
