Humble Narrative Bundle Features Great Games For Girls with Emphasis on Story and Branching Plots

This week's humble bundle is a great one. I already had many of the games but I picked it up because Shadowrun Hong Kong looked interesting to me - and 80 Days was a game I was really excited about when it first came out for mobile devices, and I'm looking forward to playing it on the PC. I already gave away a copy of Broken Age on my blog here a few months back and gave it a full review, and I gifted the copy in this humble bundle to one of my online friends. I have a lot more duplicate keys, both from this bundle and others, so I may try hosting another give away in a few weeks. Read Only Memories is an excellent indie visual novel game which I already have, so I will probably try to rehome that game first. Maybe this weekend :) *hint: check back to this blog throughout June for steam ke

Top 10 Subscription Boxes for Geek Girls

Subscription boxes are taking over the internet. If you've never heard of such a thing, you must be living under a rock. The basic premise is you subscribe by paying a monthly fee and you get a box full of monthly goods delivered to your doorstep (or digitally in the case of a few subscription services out there). You don't get to choose the items inside, so it's like Christmas, or a birthday, opening a box and being surprised every month. How exciting! Of course, you run the risk of not liking what's inside either though so it's a gamble. They have boxes for everything from beauty products, to cat toys, dog treats, and yes, even anime and gamer and geeky boxes too. This post has been modified but not "updated" to introduce new boxes, or remove boxes which may no longer be available on th

Humble Bundle Begins Monthly Subscription Service for Exclusive Game Bundles

Humble Bundle announced today a new subscription service to get games that have never been in their weekly and regular humble bundles. The service costs $12 and the first bundle will be released on November 6th. Each subsequent bundle will be delivered via email to subscribers on the first friday of each month. You are able to sign up now to secure the first bundle. You can cancel at any time or continue your subscription to receive more bundles. I'm torn on this one. I would love to sign up, but the fact that you can't see what games you're getting makes it much more risky than just purchasing their regular bundles. This is also much more costly than the typical bundles which average $2 or $3 dollars. I don't see any information about if there's a "theme" to the bundle, at least that ...
