LG Appliances Twin Wash and SideKick System Review

Here's a scenario for you: Your kid comes home from school and tells you at the last minute they need their uniform washed. Or your husband needs his suit for an important meeting, or your friends call and invite you out, but your favorite dress is dirty. You don't have time to wait for a full load of laundry to finish. What do you do? LG has the answer with its new LG Twin Wash and LG Sidekick System.  The LG Twin Wash includes a full size front load washer and works with the LG SideKick smaller pedestal washing machine. You can now wash two loads of laundry at once. The large full size front loading washing machine is designed to tackle heavy loads, while the SideKick pedestal washer right beneath it can quickly handle those last minute "need it now" items. The LG Sidekick is

This Is US – Season 1 and 2 Review

It's not often that I choose to write about (or really even choose to watch) American television. That's because in my opinion, the writing in American drama is often inferior and the characters not as emotionally engaging as Asian dramas. Season 2 had already started when I finally got around to watching Season 1 of This Is Us, the show that would change my opinion of American Dramas. - Don't get me wrong. I love me some drama regardless of what country it originates from.. but I distinctively recall for example, when "Fault of Our Stars" came out, how much praise it was being given, as being the saddest movie of all time, ever, by radio and TV critics and movie-goers across our nation. I watched the film and was left feeling, mostly, nothing at all. That's IT?! I thought to myself as I c

Rhapsody a Musical Adventure Retro Videogame Review

Rhapsody a Musical Adventure is an anime musical strategy JRPG first appearing on PS1 and Later on the Nintendo DS. This review focuses on the PS1 version. Preface: Okay, while researching some stuff (such as release date, etc) for this review, I discovered there was a sequel, and now I am sad AF because the sequel never left Japan..... Major Heartbreak! WARNING THIS LINK ABOUT THE SEQUEL HAS HUGE SPOILERS ABOUT BOTH GAMES!!!! READ AT OWN RISK!!!  The original is one of my all time favorite games. I love all the songs, the heart warming, touching story, the cute characters, adorable graphics, simple grid based turn-based Strategy JRPG gameplay, and use of the puppets in battle. I greatly prefer the version by Atlus on the PS1, much more than the version by NIS on the DS, becaus

The Red Turtle Anime Review

I just purchased and watched "The Red Turtle" last night. The silent animated feature length film was done, in part, by Studio Ghibli, famous animators of feature length family favorite anime films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Ponyo, and The Cat's Return, just to name a few. I have to admit, I didn't really do my research on this title (and didn't realize it was a silent film until I began watching it), but every time I saw a preview, I just wanted to see it oh so badly. When I realized I could buy it for only $10 more than the "rental" price ($15 vs $5) I immediately purchased it. For about the first 20 - 40 minutes of the film, I felt disappointed and disinterested; that quickly changed as the plot began to advance, and b...

Wolf Children – Anime Review – Feature Length Anime Movie – Anime Film – Family Film

As of today, Wolf Children is my all-time favorite anime "movie" (feature length, stand-alone film). I must've watched it 20 times or more by now. If you love Studio Ghibli films, you've got to check out Wolf Children. It's not a Ghibli film, but it feels like it should be one. It has the same things that make Ghibli films so endearing. A heart warming tale of a family and a coming of age story, which in the end has an important message or two to leave with the viewer. In this case, Wolf Children drives home a message about loving your children, no matter who they choose to grow up to be, a very important message for any parent to embrace in this day and age. You cannot change your children. Some day they will grow up and leave home, and all you can do is try to raise them with love and...

Summer Days with Coo – Anime Review

Do you love Studio Ghibli films? Summer Days with Coo is not a Ghibli film, but it reminded me a lot of one. It's a great family-friendly feature length anime that kids and adults can enjoy together. It has a lot of cute characters and a heartwarming story. It's pretty obscure with only 2,300ish "watched" on myanimelist and 600 watched on anime planet. Hopefully if you haven't heard of it yet, this review will inspire you to check it out for yourself. Title: Summer Days With Coo Genre: Family / Fantasy Adventure Release Date: 2007 (Japan) as far as I know as of the time of this review, it has still not been licensed in North America Studio: Shin-Ei Animation Where to Watch: If you know Japanese you can buy the DVD from Amazon here. Otherwise, you will have to find a torre

His Dark Materials Triology Getting a new TV Series on BBC

According to this article on Time.com Golden Compass Fans are about to get the sequel they've always wanted. Kinda. Am I the only person that actually LIKED? no... LOVED the first movie? I've been DYING to see what happens next! (and no I haven't read the books, sorry, I'm not a big "reader" these days. (I used to be, when I was in highschool, before this thing called the internet, which I think, kinda killed my attention span lol. ) (Not that I would never read a book these days, but I prefer watching movies, and sitting on my fat ass eating bag fulls of popcorn lol.). (mmm Popcorn (my favorite, its even better than chocolate)...) Ok so anyways, I digress. This exciting announcement just went viral today that thanks to the BBC network, we're about to get to see Philip Pullman's whole tri
