Kawaii Silver Iphone 14 Pro Makeover: Sonix Sanrio Cases & Case Mate Accessories Review

Hey fellow kawaii enthusiasts and anime gamers! As a 41-year-old ultra kawaii anime gamer girl, I couldn’t wait to share my thoughts on these adorable Sonix Sanrio MagSafe iPhone 14 Pro cases and some super cute Case Mate MagSafe accessories. I recently got a new silver iPhone 14 Pro, and these cases and accessories are just perfect for it.

Sorry this first video is blurry – I did not realize my old phone was on Cinematic mode so it was out of focus. The second video is better.

Cases:

  1. Hello Kitty and Friends Stickers MagSafe Compatible iPhone Case: This case is my absolute favorite! The clear design showcases the adorable Sanrio character stickers, which brings a unique and playful touch to my iPhone. It’s ultra kawaii and perfect for any Sanrio fan.
  2. Cosmic Hello Kitty MagSafe Compatible iPhone Case: I thought this case would be a clear gradient, but it’s actually white. Nonetheless, the cosmic Hello Kitty design is still super cute and offers great protection for my phone.
  3. Little Twin Stars MagSafe Compatible iPhone Case: Like the Cosmic Hello Kitty case, this one is also white instead of a clear gradient. But the Little Twin Stars design is too adorable to resist. It also offers excellent protection for my iPhone.

Samsung’s Fatal Security Flaws Have Helped Me Decide Which Phone To Upgrade To In 2023.

Hello everyone, my name is Jeni and I am currently the owner of an iPhone 13 Pro. Recently, I have been contemplating switching over to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The reason behind this switch is because I play many games from multiple regions, and I require a phone with at least 1TB of storage. While I have been going back and forth between waiting for the iPhone 15 Ultra in September 2023 or upgrading now to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, I believe I have made up my mind.

Initially, I was captivated by the sleek design and feel of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The phone is lighter and thinner, has a larger screen, and does not have an unsightly notch or dynamic island. The lavender color of the phone is also incredibly appealing to me, and I cannot deny the camera is far better than the iPhone. Furthermore, the SPen feature is very enticing since typing on my iPhone can be a hassle. read more

Apple Iphone 13 Fact VS Fiction

Apple’s newest mobile phone is rumored to be revealed as early as next week. With Iphone 13 just days away, the internet had been buzzing with many exciting rumors and a few leaked spec sheets. No one knows for sure what to expect, but one thing’s for sure, Apple 13 is going to be the next big thing that everyone wants.

I love my Iphone 12 Pro – which I’ve only had for about 7 or 8 months now. I am 40 years old. My first Iphone was the 6S. Before that I had many androids, including the very first ones with the slide out keyboard. I’m actually honestly more interested in Apple’s new clamshell flip phone, but that one is still a year or two away. read more

Should You Upgrade From Iphone 6S to the New Iphone 7?

Should You Upgrade From Iphone 6S to Iphone 7?

Apple just revealed the new Iphone 7 at http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/

I just recently joined the millions of users addicted to Apple Iphones when Iphone 6S came out. (Though I had wanted one for a long time before that as well due to all of the amazing games on the app store.)

The Iphone 7 improves the Retina HD display by using a larger screen that’s 25% brighter and boasts a wider color range than the Iphone 6S.

The Iphone 7 has a 4.7″ screen with 1334 X 750 resolution while the Iphone 7 Plus has a 5.5″ screen and 1920 X 1080 resolution.

But the biggest most exciting improvement is the camera. The Iphone 7 Plus has 2 cameras – One with a wide-angle and Another with a telephoto lens – each capable of 12MP. They also have all-new-depth-of-field effects which I assume are like Bokeh effects which we see in DSLR photography. This is a technique that’s used to focus on the subject in the foreground and blur the background, creating sometimes circles or dots of light that give it a dreamy, fantasy-looking glow like quality. – which would be great for doll photography by the way, if you collect ABJD such as myself. the zoom on the camera has also been improved with optical zoom at 2x and digital zoom up to 10x for photos and 6x for video.

It’s also the first Iphone to be water resistant, which opens up even newer possibilities for photography enthusiasts or hobbyists who like to travel / snorkel / swim or splash and play while on vacation and documenting their vacay photos with their smartphones.

The other big enhancement is the processor speed. It is 2 times faster than the Iphone 6. They are claiming it is the most powerful processor ever in a smartphone.

This Iphone also has the longest battery life ever in a smart phone. As an Iphone 6S owner, I love the long battery life. I can go 2 or 3 days sometimes without recharging, even when browsing the net, playing apps, or using navigation for 2+ hours a day sometimes. — I can’t immagine the battery life getting even better, but that’s definitely always a good thing!

The sound system has also been redesigned. It now supports stereo sound and is 2 times louder than the Iphone 6S. You can connect Apple EarPods with the lightning connector or use the brand new wireless Airpods.

They’ve also made significant improvements to the speed of LTE connectivity and roaming (although I don’t really understand how because this seems like it should be a carrier specific issue.) – It is 3 Times faster than the Iphone 6 and over 50% faster than the Iphone 6S – and LTE supports up to 25 Bands.

If you’re thinking of upgrading the Iphone 6S to the Iphone 7 – you can get up to $250 immediate credit when you trade in your 6S. Learn more at http://www.apple.com/iphone/trade-up/ Which helps to take a small bite out of the hefty $649 pricetag of the new Iphone 7.

The Iphone 7 releases next Friday on September 16 in over 20 countries around the world.

Are you going to upgrade to the new smartphone? Or hang on to your current model?

As much as I would LOVE the new cameras and faster internet connection, I’m still happy enough with my Iphone 6S — so I will wait this one out! Unless I win one for free or win money or giftcards towards covering some of that cost. I bought my Iphone 6S Out of Contract, and would do the same if I were ever to upgrade to a new model again.

Apple does make it tempting and hard to resist the need to have the latest and greatest smartphone.

But my favorite thing about Apple Iphones is the app store, which all of the Iphones can access 🙂 so whether you upgrade, or stay where you’re at, you really can’t go wrong being an Iphone owner!

Ensemble Stars – The Free IOS Game That Lets You Collect Cute Anime Boys

Ensemble Stars | Dating Sim | Stat Raising Sim | Trading Card Game | IOS | Android | Anime | Game
Ensemble Stars | Dating Sim | Stat Raising Sim | Trading Card Game | IOS | Android | Anime | Game

I’ve been enjoying Ensemble Stars, a game that lets you collect cute anime boys. When I first got the game, I assumed it was like Love Live School Idol Festival! However, it’s a little bit different. Most notably, Ensemble Stars is a Stat Raising Simulation. Not only do you collect the cards (just like in Love Live School Idol Festival!) but then you train different stats such as vocals, dancing, etc. Also, this is NOT a rhythm game. I initially thought it was, until playing it. There’s no user input in battles; it’s all mathematically determined. Your cards stats vs the Opponents’ stats.

This game is not available yet in the US app store. And in no app store is it in English; However, you can easily make a free account (must be on a PC (or mac)) by logging out of your main account and then at the bottom of the screen, change location, and select either the Korean or Japanese app stores. Then sync your iphone/ipad with your new purchase (its a free game).

The company also makes a game called Ensemble Girls which is available in the US app store, however, it is not in English. I just started playing Ensemble Girls lastnight and its gameplay is markedly different from Ensemble Stars. Ensemble Girls plays like a board game. You roll dice and move the corresponding number of squares through each level. You encounter girls to battle and collect points. You can use points to summon new girls for your deck and also get sweet tasting food which if you feed to the girls makes them level up. It’s a cute game, but the gameplay in Ensemble Stars is more fun since it’s a stat raising sim, which Ensemble Girls is not.

When you first start playing Ensemble Stars you get to select one “team” to be your “starter deck” which will determine your rare card.

This is the one I chose, because, he is hot as hell LOL.

There’s also a dating sim element to the game too. You can date the guys and by correctly responding to their questions (which are not in English), they will level up. Here are a few more screens showing all of these elements of gameplay. The dating sim, the stat raising sim, and the collectible card game (ccg).

The game is really super fun – even though I can’t understand a word of it. I keep hoping they’ll bring us an English version. It’s in many asian countries already. I think with the rise in popularity in America of otome games and dating sims and JRPGs we would be a good market for this game as well. I have already emailed the company and asked them if they would please release an English or “international” version of their app. The game has only been around since April of 2015. So it is not even a year old yet. That means there’s still a chance they could release it at some point in English.

Sweetie:

Overall: 70 / 90 78% C+ “Good Game for Girls”

Concept: 10/10 finally a game like Love Live School Idol Festival but with all boy cards! Sweet!

Gameplay: 10/10 – The stat raising simulation and dating sim aspects are really fun, and it’s exciting/thrilling to summon the rare cards that you really want to add to your deck.

Graphics: 10/10 – one of the cutest games around. The little chibi sprites are so cute as they dance and practice their moves in the stat raising sim portion of the game. The still artwork on each card is beautiful, and the dating sim element treats us to fully animated 2d sprites. (not chibi though, full drawn like the card artwork. Lovely.) The backgrounds and environments are also beautiful, and the user interface is so simple and easy to use that I can easily navigate the game even without it being in English (I can’t say the same for Ensemble Girls which I’ve been stumbling through for the past day or two.)

Story: 0/10 – Unfortunately until the game is available in English, the story is a 0/10 – It might have a good story for all I know, but I can’t read it.

Characters: 5/10 – Well the characters are definitely easy on the eyes. But once again I can’t read any of their backstories. So shrugs. If I’m going by character art / concept / design it’s 10/10 – but It would be nice to have the “feels” during the dating scenes by understanding wtf the characters are saying. And getting to know their personality by more than just their facial expressions.

Replay Value: 10/10 Like most mobile games, there are numerous events every month with the chance to get rare limited edition cards and items.

Music: 10/10 – I really like the opening theme and some of the background music also

Voice Acting: 7/10 – I love the voice actors in this game as well. I can’t understand wtf they are saying since there’s no English subtitles (and I deducted points for that), but I do hope that should this game be brought over, that they keep the original voice cast in tact.

Overall: 70 / 90 78% C+ “Good Game for Girls”

If it were in English, chances are story and characters would rate higher, but as it is right now today, it’s still totally playable, and quite enjoyable even without understanding the dialogue.

How to Remove Debris Under Screen Protector On Smart Phone

How to Remove Debris Under Screen Protector On Smart Phone

I read an article today on how to remove dust, dirt, hairs, fuzz, lint, etc from underneath your screen protector.

When I tried it though, my screen protector, which I’ve only had for 5 days, cracked.

I want to warn everyone that if you are googling how to remove debris under your screen protector to NOT follow this tutorial if you have a tempered glass screen protector. I have one from ZAGG that luckily will be covered under the warranty.

For those wanting to remove dirt and debris… here’s the “urban legend” online…. ONCE AGAIN DO NOT TRY THIS WITH A GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR. YOU CAN SEE ABOVE WHAT THIS DID TO MY BRAND NEW $45 ZAGG protector.

Materials needed: Scotch Tape

  1. Tear off two pieces of scotch tape

2.) Fold tape over on it’s self leaving enough space to slide your finger through each piece (so that both sides are sticky)

3.) With one piece of tape, take your finger at edge of screen protector and gently lift

4.) Use other tape-covered finger to dab the lint or debris until it is removed

5.) Gently lower the screen protector back down.

6.) (Added by me) DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE A GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR – IT WILL CRACK!!!!!!

I don’t even know HOW the darn cat hair got under my screen protector. It was put on professionally at best buy. And up until this morning no hair. It was definitely UNDER the screen protector though. I small white hair from my short haired female cat. I also have her hairs on my brand new sweater that was stored in another room where my cats don’t have access. ARGH cat hairs… bane of my existence, but cats make life better, so worth it, even if they destroy sweaters and screen protectors LOL.

Luckily ZAGG gives all of their products a life time warranty; but now I must wait 3 – 7 business days with no screen protector, and go back to best buy and pay $5 to have them put it on for me 🙁 (or deal with the headache and cat hairs of putting it on for myself)

Nokia Lumia 1020 Camera Phone Review

Nokia Lumia 1020 Camera Phone Review

One of my most popular blog posts is my Nokia Lumia 1020 Camera Phone Preview. Which you can read here. However this was written well before I actually purchased the phone. And my opinion, enthusiasm, and love for the phone are much different now, after having owned the Nokia Lumia for over a year already. The bottom line is, I would NOT recommend this phone. And I’m going to tell you why.

First of all it crashes, or freezes, multiple times a week. It’s done this pretty much from day 1. ATT just advises me to press and hold all 3 buttons, and soft reset the phone. Which usually works, except sometimes it doesn’t, in which case you have to perform a hard reset.

My entire family got one of these phones. My mother’s phone INEXPLICABLY died within 3 months of owning it. It’d never been dropped, never gotten wet, etc. ATT agreed there was no logical reason for the phone to die and not turn back on and so gave her a replacement one, and so far hers has been fine.

Out of the four phones, MINE is the only one that freezes all the time. I have more apps than anyone else in my family on this phone. BUT that can’t be the reason, because as I mentioned, it’s done this from DAY ONE.

So there’s the first point, freezing, crashing.

Next, let’s talk about “all of those apps” on my phone. Truth be told, I’ve owned androids all my life, ever since the first motorola droid back in the early 2000s. You know, the one with the keyboard and everything? Right. So when I first got android, there were not many apps available in the google play store. Fair enough, it was early technology. It was not long before it began gaining traction, and now, 15+ years later, google has ALMOST as many apps as the Apple App store. I know, because I ALSO own an Ipad, and play mobile games on it EXTENSIVELY (daily). … So where are all the apps for Windows Phone? In a recent marketing conference, Microsoft announced that developers could very easily port their games over to the windows phone at the simple push of a button, and they showed a demonstration. AT LAST, I thought maybe we would see some good apps….. That was almost six months ago…. and you know how many of my existing games now have windows apps? TWO of them, out of probably 70 games… TWO….. And the apps that ARE available are DRASTICALLY different from their IOS and Android versions. For example, Instagram, has maybe 5 filters on the windows version, and you can not control the “strength” of the filters, etc the way you can on the other versions.

So there’s point 2: No third party application support.

Along a similar vein, none of the big-box electronic stores such as Fryes, Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc, carry any accessories for the Windows Phone. Sure you can find a few things online, but I REALLY miss just being able to walk into a store and buy something off the shelf, the way I could with my Galaxy phone. As a girl, who regards her phone as a fashion accessory, and enjoys customizing her phones, this is a definite draw back. I can’t even find screen protectors or cases and have to order those online also. Design and selection of which are often limited.

Point 3, availability of phone accessories. read more

UPDATE 6/22/15 SO I’ve Now Owned This Phone for about a year! Check out my full review HERE

One of the products that I plan to buy sometime in 2014, is the Nokia Lumia 1020. I plan to buy this device for full price out of contract. It’s $500, in this way, but it’s still the most affordable DSLR Camera on the market today. For those who are willing to sign a new contract with AT&T, the camera phone becomes just $99 with a new service agreement.

The images throughout this article are from Flickr’s creative commons. Rights belong to original photographers. Photos link to original photographer’s flickr page. All photos taken with Nokia Lumia 1020.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Even at the $500 price tag though it’s still the best buy for casual photographers who want a cheap DSLR camera. Most similarly priced cameras are only what they call “point and click” cameras. They have lower Megapixels and often are less feature-rich than most DSLR cameras on the market today. The Sony Cybershot Hx300 digital camera is only 20.4 MP and retails for $499. The Canon EOS Rebel T3i digital camera features a meager 18 MP and costs nearly $700. Nikon’s D3300 features 24.2 MP and will retail for $649.95 when it is released later this year.

Well then what would a 40mp camera from another company other than Nokia cost? Far more than any regular non professional photographer would pay. We’re talking upwards of $10,000 just for the camera, then you add on all the lenses and attachments…. they just aren’t intended for the average everyday consumer. The furthest that our consumer technology has come is around 25mp in the “affordable range”. So as Nokia says in their branding and slogan, “nothing else even comes close”. However, this price can vary widely. To illustrate, the two most well known 40 mp cameras on the market today are the ultra compact (but still larger than the nokia lumia 1020), Sigma DP2 Merril, retailing at $1,400 and the big beefy, Pentax 645D retailing around $7,000.

I understand that there are many other considerations aside from just megapixels too when deciding on a DSLR camera.

ISO is a big factor for low light or moving images.

Shutterspeed can also be a decisive factor for many people.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

And zoom or macro capabilities are also another consideration to take into account.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 boasts about it’s enhanced low-light image capabilities and large sensor size which gathers more light.

It however is left behind when it comes to shutterspeeds and macro shots.

However, it gains points with it’s stylish slim and light weight design which attracts people who are put off by the heavy weight of traveling with a more traditional DSLR.

There are also a number of lenses and attachments available (for any camera phone, not just the nokia lumia) that are compatible as well to help improve your shots.

All and all, for the power and price, as well as it’s compact travel-friendly design, the Nokia Lumia 1020 is revolutionizing casual “consumer” photography. It’s now easier than ever to become a hobby photographer.

It also comes in 3 colors, neon yellow, black, or white. I wish it came in the red color like the newer nokia 1520

For those wanting it as a cellphone, which was it’s original intention afterall, it’s on sale for just 99 dollars with a new contract under AT&T. You can buy it without a contract as well and use it on your own carrier which is what I intend to do. I use walmart’s Straight Talk cell service which is just 45 a month for unlimited talk, text, and data, so I can share all the photos I take easily and quickly to my instagram, facebook, twitter, or email, without having to be near a wifi hotspot. I’ve never used a windows phone so I can’t comment on the interface or phone features itself, stay tuned for a full review in the coming months once I have purchased the Nokia Lumia 1020.
