The Influence of Anime Culture on the Gaming Industry

What comes to your mind when you hear the phrase “Anime Culture”? This movement dates back from the early 1917 and has influenced the evolution of many other cultures. It has inspired many famous artists, innovators and trend setters. Known for the progressive element, innovation and creativity, anime is today the leading inspiration among creators and influencers.

The anime genre fascinated and inspired a lot of industries. It’s no wonder that it’s also making an impact on the casino industry. This genre at first referred to film, TV, comics and video games. But let’s be precise-what is actually anime, and how it can be defined?  read more

Starlight Stage A Pop Idol Card Game By Japanime Games

I recently received Starlight Stage A Pop Idol Card Game from RightStuf. RightStuf is one of the oldest and largest distributors of Otaku merchandise in the US. Check out their website at www.RightStuf.com for everything from anime, manga, action figures, Japanese candy, games, and more.

I decided to purchase Starlight Stage because I’m a fan of mobile idol games and idol anime such as Love Live, Utapri, Bang Dream, Ensemble Stars, and yes, Idol M@ster.

I do not know for sure if this board game is based on Idol M@ster but I suspect it is, since one of the early and most popular Idol M@ster mobile games is titled Idol M@ster Starlight Stage. For whatever reason though, if it is in fact at all related, they stripped it of the Idol M@ster title and just dubbed it Starlight Stage. Either way, related or not, if you love the mobile games or anime idol games, you’ll love Starlight Stage Card Game by Japanime Games. read more

Sweet Dance Online Anime Dressup Mobile Music Dancing Game

I just started playing Sweet Dance, a pretty cute mobile game with a variety of music hits from around the world. Songs include English hits from the US and Europe as well as Chinese, Korean, and Japanese tracks.

The game has several different dance modes. In the first dance mode, bubble mode, you must simply tap the bubbles on the screen. In Trail mode you must tap left, right, or both sides of your screen depending on the colors of the bubbles. Pink is Right. Blue is left. Yellow is both. The beginning mandatory tutorial only makes you play Bubble mode so I was confused when I played Trail mode but eventually figured it out. There’s also a beat mode which is like DDR for your fingers. In beat mode you must quickly punch in a sequence of arrow movements and then lock in your sequence at the right time with the beat button (The right time is when the red dot is near the white line).

CocoPPa Dolls New Anime Mobile Dressup Game From The Creators of CocoPPa Play That’s A Lot Like Love Nikki Dressup Queen.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cocoppa-dolls/id1489434676

I’ve been playing a new mobile Dressup game called CocoPPa Dolls. As its name suggests it is by the creator of CocoPPa Play although this new title plays a lot more like Love Nikki or Romantic Diary than CocoPPa Play.

The gameplay is simple. You play Gacha to get new items for your avatar to wear. Some Gacha are time limited and some have rare items and others are always available with less rare items.

Ok so I know what you’re thinking. That sounds just like CocoPPa Play but that’s about when the similarities end.

From here you have a few different unique features… Let’s look at them briefly. Pictures may not be related to the text here I’m just sharing cute screenshots I took while playing. read more

Best Ways To Soundproof Your House

Best Ways To Soundproof Your House

When people talk about home, we often imagine a place with a quiet and serene environment where someone can relax and ease off their mind, especially after having a long day at work.

However, this is not what most of us usually find when we get back home. When you stay in a busy neighborhood, you can expect to hear noise coming from various activities outside.

For instance, there might be some construction work going on just next to your apartment or your neighbor might be a party freak and is always throwing parties every little chance he gets.

Blue Phones – Mistakes To Avoid When Purchasing One

Purchasing a new smartphone is an important decision, regardless of how frequently you get the feeling to treat yourself with an up-to-date gadget. A lot of people are caught up in the frenzy of having the latest model of smartphone on the market, getting bored of it after a while and replacing it with the next model as soon as it’s released.

Nevertheless, many people don’t realize the mistakes they make when choosing a new phone. They’re blinded by the price and its amazing look, without considering the more important features such as the amount of storage or its size. Plenty of them, make the purchase in the wrong time period, missing the opportunity to get it for a lower price, only due to their impatience.  read more

Videogame Kiosk

The Magic Of Collecting Video Game Kiosk

Video game kiosks are quite nostalgic. I remember when I was a kid, walking around with my parents at a mall, suddenly bumping with a video game store, and watching these video gaming kiosks with people trying new consoles and games. Even I enjoyed playing with them.

It was a great time to be alive. There was something magic about video game kiosks. And now, for people who grew up loving video games, they’ve become a symbol of nostalgia. Of course, you can still find video gaming kiosks out there with PS4, Xbox Ones, and Nintendo Switches, and they’ve become the symbol of nostalgia for the next generation. read more

Happy New Year 2020 – Let’s Celebrate With The 20 Best Girls Games Of The Past 20 Years

Happy New Years! I thought it’d be fun to celebrate the new year by counting down the 20 best girl games released between 2000 – 2020. Before we can start the countdown we need to talk about what makes a good girl game anyways? I have talked about this before on my site, but incase you are new to my site, here’s a recap.

First let me start by saying, I target a niche audience, girls (and guys) who like a certain type of games – In general, young females prefer these types of games more than men, but there are men who play these games too, and likewise, there are girls who don’t enjoy these games and prefer more violent action games that we see a lot of young men playing. My website kinda over generalizes things, because it’s just simpler for me to focus a very small target audience. read more

Hopefully, the stereotype comic book geek who lives in their mother’s basement has been banished for good. Not that it was ever particularly true, but over the last decade, comic book franchises have dominated pop culture. Comic conventions are huge events that bring diverse people together, showing that just about everyone is a fan.

The basement-dwelling stereotype is especially untrue for people going to Comic Con Aloha.

This up-and-coming convention lets people grab a bit of sunshine and see their favorite voice actors and comic artists all in the same weekend! It is the perfect combination of sunshine, relaxation, and enjoying your fandom.

Three Things I Will Miss About My Pixel 3

I will be switching back to Iphone. My green Iphone 11 is supposed to be delivered by end of the day tomorrow. My reason for switching is to have a more secure device. I fell victim to the camera hack as well as within the past 6 months, 3 different accounts of mine have been hacked – I can’t prove it’s my phone’s fault, but I had the Iphone 6 – up until Pixel 3, and never had been hacked. The reasons for which are varied, for example Iphone is a tightly controlled app marketplace. While it’s not impossible for a rogue app to sneak in, it’s definitely more difficult. Another reason Iphone is more secure is because Android is the most widely used platform, similar to how many computer attackers aim their threats at windows because it dominates the market. They want to attack where the most people are. Lastly, Google’s convenience in password storage and account linking makes it easier for attackers to get all of your information in one place. read more

If You’re A Hot Wheels Collector, Better Read This

I think that at some point of our lives, we tend to find something that really grows on us. Like, we become attached to it and we want to have more of it in our lives. I don’t know if you’ve found yours yet but I’m pretty confident that you eventually will. It just so happens that some people find this “thing” in their lives early while others discover it much later on.

If you’re not quite sure of what I’m talking about, well, I’m talking about your life collection. read more

A3 Anime Otome Game

A3! Actor Training Game Review

I had previously played the Japanese version briefly of A3! Act, Actor, Addict, an otome simulation game that puts you in the role of a young woman looking for her father who went missing 8 years ago.

Cybrid has now released an English version of the game, which is good, because this one has almost no gameplay, and tons of reading (as most Otome and Visual novels). Which is why I only played the JP version very briefly, because I can’t read Japanese, and with little gameplay, and no story (since I couldn’t understand it) it became boring quickly. But now that it is in English, I’m enjoying it quite a bit. read more
