I Want To Take an Anime and Manga Tour in Japan

OMG... I want to do this. (Maybe Next Year - I don't have Vacation Time left this year since I will be going to Peru this summer) Their next tour is in just a few weeks, and seems to only happen once a year, in March coinciding with the International Anime Festival AnimeJapan. https://japandeluxetours.com/japan/group/anime-japan-tours#anime3 Visiting Japan is my life long dream. (sadly, mostly just so I can go shopping for anime, game, and doll stuff lol. Although I do want to do the museums and cherry blossoms and hot springs and other cultural things too - though mostly, I'm just a big geeky nerd who loves anime and wants to go shopping - which is what this whole tour is designed for <3) It's not that much money (well OK it is, but it's cheaper than I expected honestly).

Boxychan September Anime Subscription Box Review

My Death Note Amane Misa Jun Planning Figure that I received in my September Boxychan Subscription Box is worth almost $50. According to http://myfigurecollection.net/item/1497 - I'm so happy with Boxychan. Read my other Boxychan review here I hope the company stays around forever. Not only did I get this expensive figure, but I got a manga worth $9.95 and an anime DVD worth probably $20-ish and a few other small toys. Total box value at least $80. Cost me only $25. They have many other themes too not just "anime" but the anime one is my favorite! I've been thrilled every month by this box. It's the best subscription box ever! :) Everything is 100% Legit and Officially Licensed and high quality. Not cheap or pirated stuff. I've been with Boxychan since June, and this is the first month

Boxychan Anime Box – June Unboxing Photos and Review – Monthly Subscription Box for Anime and Manga Fans

I just finished my review for Betoyo Bento here. In this review I mentioned how I just had a birthday a few weeks ago and my best friend gifted me with 2 subscription boxes. Here is the 2nd of those subscriptions - Boxychan Anime Box. I liked this box so well that I subscribed myself after opening this awesome box. I'm also going to update my top ten list of subscription boxes for geeky girls to reflect my love of Boxychan. What makes Boxychan so great in my opinion are two things - 1.) It has stuff you'll actually use. I don't know if "every" box is like this, but I'm assuming each box contains one manga and one dvd. - that's actually stuff I want! stuff I'm already buying. Yes, little figures and posters and candy and other things are good - but this is stuff that's expensive, manga is u

Betoyo – Kawaii Anime Figurines and Collectibles – Monthly Subscription Box – Unboxing Photos and Review

My birthday was last month. I turned 35. Eek, scary to be getting so old LOL. My best friend got me two wonderful subscription boxes for my birthday. The first is Betoyo, a box focusing primarily on anime figurines. I'm a doll or figure collector and also love the excitement of opening blind box figurines. This box is perfect for anime fans looking to add to their figure collections. The June Betoyo Bento had a lot of adorable things packed inside. The highlights of the box were the "Fate" figure on the motorcycle, a figure from Sword Art Online, and a beautiful wall scroll from the popular "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" anime. I don't think I actually took a pic of the box - oopsie. -- But inside the box was a beautiful "gift bag" from Touken Ranbu. Us girls love our bishounen, Am...

Top 10 Subscription Boxes for Geek Girls

Subscription boxes are taking over the internet. If you've never heard of such a thing, you must be living under a rock. The basic premise is you subscribe by paying a monthly fee and you get a box full of monthly goods delivered to your doorstep (or digitally in the case of a few subscription services out there). You don't get to choose the items inside, so it's like Christmas, or a birthday, opening a box and being surprised every month. How exciting! Of course, you run the risk of not liking what's inside either though so it's a gamble. They have boxes for everything from beauty products, to cat toys, dog treats, and yes, even anime and gamer and geeky boxes too. This post has been modified but not "updated" to introduce new boxes, or remove boxes which may no longer be available on th

Dollmore Model F Melissa Baul Review

Edit to add: (cleaned up images by moving them to a floating div, making this easier to read. also nixed the old banner ads as we use a different platform now.) I also want to add that Kitty Blue in the Ohio ABJD meetup group helped me restring and hot-glue "suede" this doll a year or two ago which helped a lot of the problems I mention in this review. She also told me buying shoes, especially boots that go up the legs, would help add more stability. I own a dollmore model F Melissa Baul. She is from 2011, so there may be some small changes to new versions. My version has a custom face up that I ordered through Dollmore themselves. The default faceup is quite different. She came free with the same dark short wig and grey colored acrylic e...
