Whether fall means warm apple cider, sweater weather, halloween festivities, or back to school -- The Fall 2016 Pusheen Box has got you covered! October Boxychan Unboxing Anime Subscription Box Review

Another month, another awesome box of anime and manga goodies from www.boxychan.com - You can check out some of my other boxychan reviews here, and here. - I've been subscribed since May, but haven't reviewed every box. I do put pics of every box on my instagram though which you can find here instagram.com/xenokitten - Boxychan and Pusheenbox remain my top two favorite subscription crates. I subscribe to both with my own money and am in no way compensated for blogging about them. They don't even have a referral program - I just love boxychan so much, and I think it is far less widely known than similar boxes such as Geek Fuel and Doki Doki. This month's Boxychan has a beautiful figure from Madoka Magica O_O!! It's by far my favorite figure I've received in one of these subscription crat

Boxychan September Anime Subscription Box Review

My Death Note Amane Misa Jun Planning Figure that I received in my September Boxychan Subscription Box is worth almost $50. According to http://myfigurecollection.net/item/1497 - I'm so happy with Boxychan. Read my other Boxychan review here I hope the company stays around forever. Not only did I get this expensive figure, but I got a manga worth $9.95 and an anime DVD worth probably $20-ish and a few other small toys. Total box value at least $80. Cost me only $25. They have many other themes too not just "anime" but the anime one is my favorite! I've been thrilled every month by this box. It's the best subscription box ever! :) Everything is 100% Legit and Officially Licensed and high quality. Not cheap or pirated stuff. I've been with Boxychan since June, and this is the first month

Boxychan Anime Box – June Unboxing Photos and Review – Monthly Subscription Box for Anime and Manga Fans

I just finished my review for Betoyo Bento here. In this review I mentioned how I just had a birthday a few weeks ago and my best friend gifted me with 2 subscription boxes. Here is the 2nd of those subscriptions - Boxychan Anime Box. I liked this box so well that I subscribed myself after opening this awesome box. I'm also going to update my top ten list of subscription boxes for geeky girls to reflect my love of Boxychan. What makes Boxychan so great in my opinion are two things - 1.) It has stuff you'll actually use. I don't know if "every" box is like this, but I'm assuming each box contains one manga and one dvd. - that's actually stuff I want! stuff I'm already buying. Yes, little figures and posters and candy and other things are good - but this is stuff that's expensive, manga is u

Doki Doki June Box Opening Subscription Crate Review

As you can see from my instagram posts - I got my DokiDoki Crate today. My final verdict is do not subscribe to this crate -- It has cute stuff, but the stuff inside was worth MAYBE 10 bucks, and that's REALLY fricken stretching it lol. --- I'd say its worth about 5 bucks. I paid $15 with a coupon. Regularly they charge $30 -- which is almost criminal if you ask me. It was FULL of TINY teeny tiny JUNK. I subscribe ALSO to Pusheen Crate which is the same price and full of SUPER high quality, wonderful, LARGE items. -- This is like literally full of 25 cent trinkets, no lie.--- Some of them are adorable of course -- but I feel they are charging too much. This box should be about 10 a month, tops. maybe 15 to count for shipping and handling, max. It does have some exclusives (the yellow pl

Pusheen Box – Spring Pusheen Box – Box Opening – Review

I purchased the Spring Pusheen Box which is a quarterly subscription box filled with all Pusheen items (you can learn more at http://www.pusheenbox.com/) - Sorry no video this time; I was so excited that I opened it right away - but I did take lots of pics. I promise I will do a video review for the Summer Pusheen Box. This box is REALLY cute. I have a grey tabby/maine coon too that reminds me so much of Pusheen - that's why he's one of my favorite webcomics / characters. I did have a small problem with one item being broken - however, the damage is REALLY minor and I plan to just fix it myself. The large limited edition Baking Pusheen figurine, mine's rolling pin was snapped off - however, I can glue it back on easily enough. Overall I was really super pleased with the quality of al

Ript Apparel – $11 Tshirts For Geeks and Gamers – New Designs Every Day

I just discovered a great new website for Geeky Tees. The prices start at just $11 - although they do charge more for some designs, or for plus sized clothing. They offer both men and womens, and even youth clothing. They also have hoodies and lots of other goodies. Here are a few of my favorite designs. You can click on any of the pictures to go to the Ript Apparel website where you can see how the shirts look on an actual live model. They have a really cool Exclusive Deadpool X The Walking Dead T-shirt. Deadpool is so hot right now. The one thing I noticed is that their selection of sizes could use some improvement. If you're a man - they've got you covered with sizes going all the way to 5XL. However, if you're a woman, the sizes only go to 2XL. I've seen other sites that go to Wome...

Top 10 Subscription Boxes for Geek Girls

Subscription boxes are taking over the internet. If you've never heard of such a thing, you must be living under a rock. The basic premise is you subscribe by paying a monthly fee and you get a box full of monthly goods delivered to your doorstep (or digitally in the case of a few subscription services out there). You don't get to choose the items inside, so it's like Christmas, or a birthday, opening a box and being surprised every month. How exciting! Of course, you run the risk of not liking what's inside either though so it's a gamble. They have boxes for everything from beauty products, to cat toys, dog treats, and yes, even anime and gamer and geeky boxes too. This post has been modified but not "updated" to introduce new boxes, or remove boxes which may no longer be available on th

Momijii Dolls – Cute Limited Edition Dolls With Notes Inside

Kokeshi dolls are traditional Japanese Wooden dolls that are often hand carved and painted. These dolls originated in the 1600s and were sold as souvenirs to traveling tourists who visited the Japanese Hotsprings. Fastforward 400 years later, and meet the Momijii Doll. These Kokeshi inspired figurines have taken the Kokeshi theme and turned it into a profitable online business by creating dozens of super rare limited edition dolls at affordable prices. What's more, these dolls make great gifts, because you can turn them upside down and remove a note, which you can personalize. This makes them great ideas for holidays, weddings, anniversaries, or graduations. Any special occasion, there's a doll to match that. Furthermore, each edition of dolls is very unique; fr...
