Subscription boxes are taking over the internet. If you’ve never heard of such a thing, you must be living under a rock. The basic premise is you subscribe by paying a monthly fee and you get a box full of monthly goods delivered to your doorstep (or digitally in the case of a few subscription services out there). You don’t get to choose the items inside, so it’s like Christmas, or a birthday, opening a box and being surprised every month. How exciting! Of course, you run the risk of not liking what’s inside either though so it’s a gamble. They have boxes for everything from beauty products, to cat toys, dog treats, and yes, even anime and gamer and geeky boxes too.
Clannad just went live on steam about 24 hours ago. If you order by December 1st, this game can be yours for the “low” scoff price of $42.99 after which it will return to it’s full price of $49.99 – Get it here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/324160/
I ordered it. (Mostly because I won some paypal money last week, so I only had to put about 9 dollars with it, to get it, otherwise I wouldve waited til after the holidays, so many other things need my money and attention right now.)
This is just a collection of things I’ve come across this week that other gamer girls out there may find interesting. It’s the biggest shopping weekend in the USA, and many digital retailers are also offering deals as well as deals in store for many electronics.
Both Kohls and Walmart will have the PS4 for $299 on Black Friday. – I’m hoping to maybe be lucky enough to pick one up but I did just get an Iphone so I don’t know if I’ll have the $$$$ for a PS4 right now, which is fine anyways since the game I really want (Persona 5) got delayed til summer 2016 anyways. And I also really need a new PC – mine is finally starting to lose it’s ability to play some nextgen games (such as Fallout 4). Which I realize isn’t even the most graphically intensive game out there; but I only have a middle of the line Acer that’s 2+ years old now (only cost me about 600 originally, compared to my previous rig, an Alien ware which cost me like 1300 (But last me for 2-3 times longer). So The PS4 $$$ could be half the payment of a new PC too. Still do want PS4 though — and a Wii U 🙂 I don’t normally play graphically intensive games, but ocassionally I do such as the new fallout So I need to get a better PC at some point.
Humble Bundle announced today a new subscription service to get games that have never been in their weekly and regular humble bundles. The service costs $12 and the first bundle will be released on November 6th. Each subsequent bundle will be delivered via email to subscribers on the first friday of each month. You are able to sign up now to secure the first bundle. You can cancel at any time or continue your subscription to receive more bundles.
I’m torn on this one. I would love to sign up, but the fact that you can’t see what games you’re getting makes it much more risky than just purchasing their regular bundles. This is also much more costly than the typical bundles which average $2 or $3 dollars.
The PS4 is getting a major price drop in Japan. The PS4 is not region locked, so if you’re in the market to purchase a PS4 right now (as I am); you may want to consider importing the console until a North American Price Drop is announced. The new price is approximately $292 USD compared to the typical $399.99 charged by US retailers. This is a cost savings of $110! That’s significant change. Enough to pick up several new games for your system, or if you’re like me, and wanting multiple systems, enough to almost buy a wii u :). With all the great games announced at E3 and the Tokyo Game Show this year, the PS4 is a must own item for anyone who loves RPGs and Anime styled games.
Lucky Rabbit Reflex is an excellent Otome Game and right now, while supplies last, it can be yours for $2.50 – what’s more it includes several other “story rich” styled games including Evoland, Joe’s Diner, Nightclub Emporium, and some game called Slave Trade (which sounds rather offensive and tacky to me, but hey, it’s free – the other games are worth $2.50 — Lucky Rabbit Reflex alone is worth that!

I already preordered my JASTUSA Bundle from Groupee’s website. And you can too! But you have to hurry, because this is limited to just 3,000 bundles worldwide! Just head over to http://groupees.com/vn2 and decide how much you want to spend. $20 (or $18 during the preorder period) will get you all the games in this bundle. But they have smaller packs starting at just $8 for a few games. JASTUSA is one of the leading publishers of visual novel games in English. Their games cost a pretty penny on their website, making this the deal of a lifetime for visual novel fans! You get each game for under $3, while they typically retail for $40+ on JASTUSA site.
